Privacy Policy
How we handle the small amount of data needed to run a zero-knowledge camera app.
Last updated: 2026 · Template version
Overview
Cambexa ("we", "us") builds privacy-first camera software. This policy explains what limited data we process and why. Because your footage is end-to-end encrypted, we cannot access the contents of your recordings.
Information we process
- Account data — email and authentication details to operate your account.
- Billing data — handled by our payment processor; we don't store full card numbers.
- Encrypted blobs — your recordings, which we store but cannot decrypt.
- Diagnostics — optional, anonymized crash and performance data you can disable.
How we use it
To provide and secure the service, process payments, respond to support requests, and improve reliability. We do not sell your data or use your footage for advertising.
Sharing
We share data only with processors needed to run Cambexa (e.g. cloud hosting, payments), under contract, and when legally required. We disclose only what we hold — which for your footage is ciphertext.
Retention
Account data is kept while your account is active. Encrypted clips follow your plan's retention window. You can export or delete your data at any time.
Your rights
Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your data. Contact privacy@cambexa.example to exercise them.
Security
We use end-to-end encryption, TLS in transit, and least-privilege access. See our Security page for details.
